Daniela Vega, protagonista de "Una mujer fantástica", dijo que está "muy feliz y contenta" de pisar la alfombra roja de los Oscar, en donde presentará una categoría y en la aspira a llevar para Chile el primer galardón al mejor filme extranjero.

"Está siendo un año maravilloso. Estamos muy emocionados por estar aquí", valoró la intérprete, que será además la primera actriz transexual en presentar un premio de la Academia.

"Cuando se abren puertas, es muy difícil cerrarlas. Las conquistas son siempre colectivas y las personas que somos sus rostros visibles representamos a todo un equipo. Esta película es algo que se podrá ver siempre", declaró.

Chile podría alzarse hoy con el primer Oscar de su historia a la mejor película extranjera -estuvo nominada por "No" (2012), de Pablo Larraín-.
